Recorte is a Brazilian design magazine, written by designers, about design, in Portuguese, something that was surprisingly rare when it started. For its second printed issue, in 2022, I was invited to letter the cover.

The cover says “Se o real não é suficiente, que seja surreal”, or “if reality isn’t enough, make it surreal”, and the letters took that very literally. No two of them behave the same: some are tall and pointy, others round and bouncy, all crashing into each other in blue, green, coral and gray over black, with scribbles and sparks.
